A Remote Copy configuration can also be configured as a Synchronous Long Distance configuration.

Typically, a synchronous long distance Remote Copy configuration involves three HP 3PAR StoreServ

Storage systems. Database virtual volumes are synchronized from one system to the two other

systems. One is synchronized using synchronous mode. The other is synchronized using

asynchronous periodic mode. See Figure 6 (page 121).
