17. When applying device conguration templates that contain a large number of settings, such as more than

60 Quick Sets, a timeout might occur. To prevent these timeouts, perform the following steps:

a. Open the HP.Imaging.Wjp.Communication.Protocol.Web.Services.ITransfer.cong.xml le in Notepad

or a similar text editor. This le is available from the following directory:

C:\Windows\ServiceProles\NetworkService\AppData\Local\HP Inc\HPWebJetadmin\WjaService

\cong

b. Increase the timeout interval from 60 seconds to 120 or 180 seconds.

c. Close and save the XML le.

18. The Fax Send Setting conguration option does not work for PC-connected HP Ocejet Pro 8600 Series

and HP Ocejet Pro 8500A devices.

19. CR 10755: If an older self-signed certicate is installed on a device, the Embedded Web Server button on

the Status tab for that device is unavailable. To resolve this issue, use the device HP Embedded Web Server

(EWS) to generate a new self-signed certicate.

20. For HP FutureSmart devices that have rmware older than HP FutureSmart Bundle 3.2 and have been in

deep sleep mode (1 Watt mode), HP Web Jetadmin displays a status of Device Communication Error.

Solution: Upgrade the rmware on the devices to the latest HP FutureSmart rmware.

21. For the HP LaserJet M4555 MFP and HP Color LaserJet CM4540, sleep mode can be disabled by using the

Sleep Timer Settings conguration option. In older versions of HP Web Jetadmin, this conguration option

was called Simple Power Management for One Watt.

For HP FutureSmart devices, the Sleep Timer Settings conguration option includes the option to specify

the number of minutes for the sleep delay. Any existing device conguration templates for HP FutureSmart

devices that include the Sleep Delay (Minutes) conguration option must be updated to include the Sleep

Timer Settings conguration option.

For non-HP FutureSmart devices, the Sleep Delay (Minutes) conguration option will continue to be

supported.
