Updating the EFI firmware

• Download firmware update program from HP

website onto a local system.

• Minimum EFI firmware for VMS is 2.20

• Startup TCP/IP in the EFI console

Shell> load fs0:\efi\vms\tools\tcpipv4.efi

Shell> \efi\vms\tools\ifconfig lo0 inet 127.0.0.1 up

Shell> \efi\vms\tools\ifconfig sni0 inet 1.1.1.1 netmask 2.2.2.2 up

Shell> \efi\vms\tools\route add default 3.3.3.3

• Must be customized for your network

environment

– Replace 1.1.1.1 with IP address

– Replace 2.2.2.2 with Netmask

– Replace 3.3.3.3 with Gateway

• Hint: Use a script file to perform this task
