To edit a

program

1. Press ■ [PROGRAM] to open the Program catalog.

2. Use the arrow keys to highlight the program you want to

edit.

3. Press {{EDIT}}.

The HP 38G opens the Program Editor. The name of your

program appears in the title bar of the display. You can use

the following keys to edit your program.

Editing keys

{{STO^})

Stores a number into a named variable.

Inserts space into text.

{{APACE}} Displays previous page of the program.

{{PAGET}} Displays next page of the program.

Moves up or down one line.

Moves right or left one space.

Alpha-lock for letter entry. Press ■ {{A...Z}) to

lock lower case.

{{BKSP}} Backspaces cursor and deletes character.

Deletes current character.

! ENTER 1

Starts a new line.

■ {CLEAR}

Erases the entire program.

|VAR|

Menus for entering variable names, contents

1 MATH 1

of variables, math functions, program

commands, and program constants.

■ {CHARS} Displays all non-keyboard characters. To

type one, highlight it and press {{OK}} or

{{ECHO}} to type several characters.
