To conrm that the settings have been edited in the connected calculator, press to open the
Home Settings screen. You will see the edited settings in the pages of the screen.
Backing up data and settings
You can use Connectivity Kit to back up the data and settings of a connected calculator:
1. In the calculator pane, locate the name of the calculator whose data and settings you want to back up.
Click the expand arrow next to the calculator’s name.
2. Right-click the calculator name, and select Backup. A Backup dialog box opens.
3. Navigate to the location in which you want to save the backup zip le.
4. Give the backup zip le an appropriate le name.
5. Click Save.
Restoring data and settings
You can use Connectivity Kit to restore the data and settings of your HP Prime calculator from a backup zip le
saved to your computer.
1. In the calculator pane, locate the name of the calculator that you want to restore. Click the expand arrow
next to the calculator’s name.
2. Right-click the calculator name, and select Restore. A Restore dialog box opens.
3. Navigate to the location in which you saved the backup zip le you now want to restore.
4. Click the backup zip le.
5. Click Open.
After you click Open, the name of the calculator whose data and settings you are restoring will disappear
momentarily from the list of calculator names in the calculator pane. When the data and settings have been
successfully restored, the name of the calculator will reappear at the end of the list of calculator names.
Cloning a calculator
You can use Connectivity Kit to clone data and settings of one HP Prime calculator and apply them to another
HP Prime calculator:
1. In the calculator pane, locate the name of the calculator whose data and settings you want to clone.
Click the expand arrow next to the names of these calculators.
2. Right-click the calculator name, and select Clone from here.
3. Locate the name of the calculator to which you want to apply the cloned data and settings.
4. Right-click the calculator name, and select Clone to here.
After you select Clone to here, the name of the calculator to which you are applying the cloned data and
settings will disappear momentarily from the list of calculator names in the calculator pane. When the data
and settings have been successfully cloned, the name of the calculator will re-appear at the end of the list of
calculator names.
