• For Number of Secondary Volumes, type the number of S-VOLs according to the pair

configuration with the largest amount of S-VOLs that you are creating.

For more information about setting up the pair configuration, see “Configuring pairs”

(page 36).

• For Initial MU Number, type an MU number.

3. In the Select Primary Volumes window, for Use Primary Volumes of Snapshot Pairs, select the

kind of volumes you want to populate from the Available LDEVs table.

Values:

• Yes. The LDEVs that are already used as P-VOLs are shown.

• No. The LDEVs that are not used as P-VOLs are shown.

4. To create pairs with LDEVs that are not paired and are not listed in the Available LDEVs table,

add an available pool. Do the following:

1. Click Select Pool.

2. In the Select Pool window, select a pool and click OK.

The LDEV is added and is listed in the Available LDEVs table.
