4. In the Edit Pools window, check the Pool Name, and then click Finish:
For Pool Name, type a new pool name.
Character limit: 32 (for the Pool Name and Initial Number combined.)
- For Prefix, type alphanumeric characters
Case-sensitive: Yes
- For Initial Number, type a number
Limit: 9 digits
5. In the Confirm window, complete the following and then click Apply:
For Task Name, type a name for the task.
Character limit: 32
Allowable characters and symbols: All alphanumeric except \ / : , ; * ? " < > |
Default: date-task name
For Go to tasks window for status, select to open the Tasks window.
The pool name is changed.

Recovering pools
Recover pools for disaster recovery purposes. Normally, do not perform this task.
NOTE: The recovery time for pools depends on pool or V-VOL usage. Calculate roughly 20
minutes of recovery time for every 100 TB of pool or V-VOL usage. Recovery time also depends
on system workload.

1. In the Storage System tree, select Pools.
2. From the list, select one or more pools that you want to recover.
Hold down the Shift key when clicking multiple adjacent pools. Hold down the Ctrl key when
clicking pools that are not adjacent.
3. Click More Actions > Restore Pools.
4. In the Restore Pools window, complete the following and then click Apply:
For Task Name, type a name for the task.
Character limit: 32
Allowable characters and symbols: All alphanumeric except \ / : , ; * ? " < > |
Default: date-task name
For Go to tasks window for status, select to open the Tasks window.
The pool is recovered.
