9. Install the access panel (on page 22).

Installing a full-length expansion board

1. Power down the server (on page 20).

2. Extend the server from the rack (on page 20).

3. Remove the access panel (on page 21).

4. Remove the PCI riser cage (on page 22).

5. Remove the expansion slot cover ("Removing expansion slot covers" on page 48).

6. Open the full-length expansion board retainer.

7. Install the expansion board.

8. Close the slot cover latch.

9. Close the full-length expansion board retainer.
