Do not confuse SUSE Professional Version 9 with SLES Version 9:
• SUSE Professional Version 9 often comes on a single DVD. SUSE Professional Version 9 is
free, but it is unsupported for use with HP Insight Control for Linux.
• SLES Version 9 is supported on managed systems only.
The OS directory and the boot target directory where you copy the installation files were provided
to you during the OS registration process described in Section 6.2.2 (page 64).
If you are copying installation files for SLES Version 9 service pack 3, the repository directory
names for the installation and boot files is similar to this:
/opt/repository/os/SLES9–SP3-i386
The boot target directory name is similar to this:
/opt/repository/boot/SLES9–SP3-i386Boot
To copy the SLES Version 9 OS installation files from CD to the repository, follow these steps:
NOTE: This procedure uses service pack 3 (SP3 and SVRP3) in the examples. If you are installing
service pack 4, substitute SP3 and SVRP3 with SP4 and SVRP4.
1. Create the directory structure shown in Example 6-2 under the OS-specific directory in the
/opt/repository/os/ OS repository directory.
