4.6.1 Operations table
Figure 4-10 illustrates the Operations table, which lists individual operations within a task and
provides the status of the entire operation as it starts and completes on each target server. The
important thing to know is that operation status represents the status of the operation on every
target server.
Reporting operation status by job means this: if an operation is complete on 15 target servers but
is not started on 5 target servers, the overall status of that operation is Pending because it is not
complete on all 20 target servers.
Similarly, if an operation within a task is successful on 19 out of 20 target servers but fails on 1
target server, the overall status for the operation is Failed.
