2. Select a CU number from the LDEV Information tree (in the upper-left corner of the LUN
Expansion
tab).
The LDEV Detail table (in the upper-right corner of the LUN Expansion tab) displays all LD EVs
in the
selected CU.
3. Select an unregistered LUSE volume (in
blue bold italics
)inthe LDEV Detail table (in the
upper-aright corner of the LUN Expansion tab). Right-click the selected LUSE volume to display
a
pop-up menu that includes the Reset S el ected Volume comm and used to execute the LUSE
volume reset operation.
4. Select Reset Selected Volume.
Adialogbox to conrm the LUSE volume reset operation will ap pear.
5. Click OK on the dialog box to conrm the LUSE volume reset operation.
The setting of a selected LUSE volume that is not registered yet will be reset to the state it was in
before this LUSE volume was created, and the LUSE volumes or the LDEVs constituting the selected
LUSE volume that has just been reset will appear in the LDEV Detail table (in the upper-right corner
of the
LUN Expansion tab) .

Unregi
stered LUSE volume list
This list shows the LDEVs created in a LUSE volume, but not yet registered to the storage system,
that youcan resetto the statetheywereinbeforetheywerecreated.
LDKC:CU:LDEV:This eld shows an LDEV icon. This eld also shows an LDKC number, a
CU
numb
er, and an LDEV number.
Note:
An LDEV number that ends with a # indicates that the LDEV is an external volume
(for example, 00:00:01#) . For details regarding external volumes, see H P StorageWorks
XP24000 External Storage Soft ware User’s Guide.
Note:
A

LDEV number that ends with a letter V indicates that the LDEV is a virtual volume
(V-VOL) for XP Snapshot (for example, 00:00:01V). For details regarding V-VOLs, see HP
StorageWorks XP24000 Snapshot User’s Guide.

An
LDEV number that ends with a letter X indicates that the L DEV is a virtual volume
(V-VOL) for XP Thin Provisioning (for example, 00:00:01 X). For details regarding V-VOLs, see

Emulation:This eld shows the emulation type of the L DEV.
Capa
city:This eld shows the capacity of the LDEV.
OK button
This button is used to reset the unregistered LU SE volume to the state it was in before it was created.
Canc

This button is used to cancel the reset LUSE operation.
