
Extended data fields
Extended data fields accept data entered
directly from the keyboard or objects
chosen from a list. The three fields in the
example at the right are extended data
fields.

To enter data into an extended data field
directly from the keyboard, follow the steps set out in the paragraphs on
data fields above.
To choose a previously stored object:
1. Highlight the field and press CHOOS. A list of all suitable variables in the
current directoiy is displayed.
2. Press ® or @ until the object you want to select is highlighted.
3. Press OK. The object you selected is copied to the input form.
List fields
List fields accept only a limited, pre
determined set of values. The Type and ¿i
fields in the example at the right are list
fields.

To change the value in a list field:
1. Highlight the field and press CHOOS. A list of allowable values is dis
played.
2. Use the arrow keys to highlight the value you want.
3. Press OK. The value you selected is copied to the form.
You can also select an item for a list field by:
* highlighting the field and pressing © until the option you
want appears in the field or
® higlilighting the field and pressing (ALPHA) followed by the first
letter of the option you want (and repeating if necessary).
