input attenuator, which is normally coupled (linked) to
the reference level control, reduces the power level of the
analyzer input signal at the input mixer. The attenuator is
recoupled when AUTO is underlined.

To prevent damage to the input mixer, the power level at the input mixer
must not exceed +72
dBmV.
To prevent signal compression, power at the
input to the input mixer must be kept below 39
dBmV.

To protect the mixer from possible damage, 0

RF attenuation (no input power reduction to the
mixer)
can be selected only from the number/units keypad.
