Authenticatio
n of iSCSI targets (performing mutual authentication)
When authentic
ation of a host succeeds, the host performs authentication of the iSCSI target in reverse if
thehostrequi
res (mutual authentication). In authentication of iSCSI targets, when the user information
(user name and
secret) of the iSCSI target specified on the iSCSI target side matches the user information
storedonthehost,thehostallowstheiSCSItargettoconnect.

NAS channel adapters
You can use LUN Manager to check the running status of the OSs on NAS channel adapters. Also, when
a failure occurs in the OS, you can operate (restart, stop, or start) the OS using LUN Manager without
going to the array's cabinet. For instructions on checking the OS status on NAS channel adapters and
operating the OSs, see Operating NAS channel adapters.
