After setting the Ignore status on the components, the change will not be reflected until after the

next status polling task runs.

Disabling NIC on ESXi host

The network status reports as “major/minor” for any unused or disconnected NIC on the ESXi host.

To exclude health status of unused or disconnected NICS while calculating health status of network

component on the ESXi host, use the following tool.

Use Exclude ESXi Host(s) NIC Port(s) status from WBEM Health Status tool to disable MAC Address

of unused NIC ports from the UI on the ESXi host.

By doing this, disabled MAC Address is not considered for calculating the health status and status

of network component is reported as “Normal”. The tool displays the MAC addresses of NICs

excluded from the Health Status Polling.
